The library offers a good stock of books, which can be borrowed by students. There are titles on everything from applying for a Saturday job to apprenticeships to preparing for a job interview. Part of the collection dedicated to higher education is held in the Sixth Form Study Room, along with university prospectuses. These can also be borrowed with permission from Mrs Kaminska.
Adviza offer a live helpline service for young people aged 13-19 and their parents/carers for advice on careers, choices, qualifications, college and university, apprenticeships and job opportunities.
eCLIPS is an easy to use, high quality online resource which contains lots of information leaflets on jobs, careers and lifestyle topics. eCLIPS leaflets can be printed, saved, and emailed. The generic password for all Highdown students is RG48LR.
