On 8 November 2016, our aspiring Sixth Form mathematicians took part in the Senior Maths Challenge. The UKMT hold this challenge annually as a way to promote mathematical excellence across the UK. This year our Sixth Formers did very well with 28 certificates being awarded. Those who earnt bronze can consider themselves in the top 60% of the country, those who earnt silver in the top 30% and those who earnt gold have reached the top 10%.
The full results are listed below, however special mention should be given to Gideon Lewis and Frankie Taylor who advanced to the Senior Kangaroo and to Lizzy Hawken who moved even higher to the mathematical Olympiad. Frankie Taylor was also best from Year 12 and Lizzie Hawken was best in Year 13 and Best in School.
