John was appointed as Deputy Headteacher in 2015, having worked at Highdown School since 2002 as Head of History, Head of Humanities and an Assistant Headteacher prior to his current post. John is a teacher of History and Politics. John is also Designated Safeguarding Lead. Away from Highdown, John manages a youth football team – AFC Reading Red Arrows.
