Most units studied use coursework to allow students to build a significant digital portfolio as they develop their skills, which for many is a better option than high risk exams.
Unit 1: Information Technology Systems - Written Exam (2 Hours) 35%

Students will complete units 2 and 3 in Year 12 gaining the national certificate in IT then complete extended award (A level) in Y13.
This course, with its emphasis on practical and creative skills in ICT and business alongside problem solving and analytical thinking is an good foundation for those who wish to enter higher education, modern apprenticeships or business. The skills gained on this course will support students no matter where their future takes them.
Students are required to purchase text books but we will provide all the software needed for the course.
