Highdown School
and Sixth Form Centre

2020-21 update

Students have been fantastic and have been quickly adapting to the various systems and arrangements in place to help us keep Highdown a safe place to work and study.

Upon arrival to school, students should continue to wait on their designated field until the start of Mentor Period.

Where possible, students should avoid using public transport to get to/from school. If they do use public transport they must wear a face covering. There is information here from Reading Buses on Travel to School: https://pjassoc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=b997177bae8c4d73bf6d514d4f5090d5

Equipment:

Students must come to school with the following basic items of equipment for every lesson:

  • Blue/black pen (and a spare one) and pencil

  • Coloured pens/pencils

  • Ruler

  • Pencil sharpener/eraser

  • A calculator

  • A protractor and a pair of compasses (geometry set)

  • Glue stick

Students with a PE lesson should come to school in their PE kit on that day.
