On Saturday, in dreadful weather, a number of our talented cross country runners competed in the Berkshire Schools County Cross Country Championships.

A tricky course made worse by the waterlogged ground meant running was tough. Despite this all competitors ran with distinction.  Evie Elson and Clemmie Thorpe placed 10th and 13th in a field of 121 runners! Charlie Rickards was 8th in a field of 92. Tom Rickards also finished 8th in a very fast U17 boys race. In the senior races Katie Rodda renewed old rivalries and was pleased with a 6th place finish. The senior boys fielded a full team of four runners and were only beaten in the medal table by Eton and Wellington Colleges.

Well done all!
