    A number of parents have contacted us as they would prefer to set up a standing order for the School Fund donation rather than pay through parentmail.   • Year 10 Update

    Following the issuing of our year 10 progress reports students are now completing their academic monitoring. This gives them the opportunity to reflect on their progress and decide on what they need to do to make even better progress in their GCSE studies. Please talk to your children about this process. Questions that might help to drive these conversations might include :

    What do you need to do to improve?

    Great week  football for the girls at Highdown. The U12’s performed brilliantly in the 5-a-side football tournament finishing a respectable 3rd place. This looks great for us as we look to start our league next week!

    A group of 15 High Achieving students visited University College at Oxford University on Monday 13th November. They had a tour of the college, met current students and experienced taster sessions in Law, History, and Philosophy Politics and Economics.

    Our current year 9 students worked hard for two weeks back in July on STEM projects designing a cool box to store vaccines in countries where the weather and the lack of refrigeration can be a major problem.

  • New Extra-curricular Clubs

    There are two new extra-curricular clubs for students.

    Highdown Book Hounds is a morning breakfast club for year 7 and 8 students in the library whilst Highdown strategy board game club takes place after school on a Tuesday.
